linear units - adjusting spindles with hand wheel
In a guide tube a thread spindle is beared with a guide nut made of red bronze or brass.
With the help of a hand wheel a guide element made of the clamp assortment is driven on the adjustment area. Linear units are available as round- and square tubes with surfaces in chrome-plated steel or guide tube only in stainless steel, respectively linear units completely in stainless steel.
These types can be differentiated in general:
|

Linear units-accessories:
Guide elements: Nearly every clamp with a drilling is also usable as a guide element for linear units. They have then the additive "-VO" (i.e. w/o slide bushing) or "-VG" (with slide bushing). A slide bushing is advisable for applications with very often adjustments.

Driving- and transmission units: In connection with angle gears, driving- and transmission units are required, e.g. for connection of two or more parallel running linear units.
Position indicators: these are helpful for horizontal or vertical metering of the guide elements position. Available in different installation positions and with clockwise or counter-clockwise draft, in colours grey and orange.

Measuring scale: A well-priced alternative is based on inserted stainless steel scales or a bonding foil scale for metering the position directly at the guide element millimetre accurately. The user can decide, whether it counts from left to right, right to left or beginning from the middle.
